I’m glad I changed to this garage for my MOT this year - David was really helpful & kept me in the loop with updates & repairs. He also helped keep my costs low which was much appreciated. My car was ready sooner than I thought which was great. Overall, really positive experience & will definitely use again!
I had my car booked in for a MOT today at 4pm my wife dropped the car off 10 minutes early she was then told the MOT's were running late and that she should came back at about 6pm . We turned up at Halfords auto center Rutherglen at 5.50pm only to find the shutters down the doors locked. I asked in the store if they had my keys and MOT certificate only to be told that the auto center is nothing to do with the shop and there was nothing they could do.... I tried phoning customer service but they closed a 6pm ......This is shocking customer service from a brand like Halfords.
According to Halfords’ own policy (attached), if a vehicle is returned for retest within one working day, no retest fee should be charged. I brought my vehicle back within the required timeframe, therefore the charge should not have been applied. No proper explanation was provided to me at the time. A staff member simply stated that he had been told to charge for any vehicle repaired at another garage. This explanation does not align with the published policy and was not supported by any written terms or clarification. I showed a screenshot of Halfords policy. However, no one seemed interested in that.
Excellent service from Connor and team checking a slow puncture for me on a busy Saturday. Very efficient and service with a smile. Well appreciated.
My sons recommended going to David and his team for new tyres. Happy with the tyres and the fair price I got.
