What Customers Say
Reviews via Google Maps →Having spent over 40 years in the motor trade I went against my better judgment and used Kwik Fit. I bought my tyres through their online system as my wife was taking the car in and she, like many other people, doesn’t have any mechanical experience so I wanted to dictate the exact work I wanted completed. I picked 2 tyres, wheel balancing and new valves. This also came with a free alignment check (which I hadn’t noticed). On picking up the car my wife was informed (surprise, surprise) that the alignment was out and they would fix it for £170 which, given her lack of mechanical experience, she agreed to. She then phoned me to tell me she was getting this additional work done. Given the vehicle did not have uneven tyre wear, steering pull or a steering wheel in an offset position I immediately phoned the branch to tell them not to carry out the work. This was roughly 10-15 minutes after my wife had given the go ahead. I was informed that the work had already been carried out. This meant there was now little I could do. My wife then went back to collect her car and was informed the actual price was £107, so there seems to have been a mix up (of course nothing to do with me phoning and saying I didn’t want the work done I’m sure). While she was there she was further informed by the person she was dealing with that wheel balancing and wheel alignment was the exact same thing. This is clearly incorrect and shows the low level of competence they operate at. Do I trust this company, no. Do I trust this branch, no. Would I recommend them again, no. Do I feel ripped off, yes. I did email their Customer Services, however, they used the excuse that as my wife was the customer they would need to speak to her. I see from other reviews that Kwik Fit like to comment here, so what I would like is for this them to carry out an audit on this branch to see how many ‘wheel alignment repairs’ have being carried out compared to same size branches in other parts of the country and post it here for us all to see.
Had my front two tyres changed at the Helensburgh branch, after being replaced was getting vibration at 60-70mph returned and they rebalanced and was still the same they couldn't check my tracking as they don't have the equipment, was advised to go to Anniesland branch, staff there couldn't be more helpful. They rebalanced and done the tracking with the new Hunter Hawkeye laser system, called me over to show how far out it was then when completed recalled me and explained what they had done on the computer screen. Only issue is they are a bit short staffed, technician had to stop and star to answer the phone which was very frustrating for him and myself. Car now driving without any issues and a much better driving experience. Volvo XC60 .
I am very disappointed with the service. After three attempts to complete the wheel alignment, I still had to book my car into Tesla because the alignment was not completed properly. The technician told me they could do the job, but in reality the steering calibration and required sensor calibration were not carried out. Tesla has now advised that the vehicle requires a full diagnostic and another four-wheel alignment, meaning I have to pay for the same work again. If your workshop cannot complete the full procedure required for modern vehicles like a Tesla, you should be honest with customers instead of taking on work you cannot finish properly
I always used to come get my tyres changed here and the customer service was so nice and friendly and always looked after me, but since new management, they’ve been very rude. I bought my tyres and alignment online but when I got them changed, they didn’t do the alignment and I had to remind them. They said it was just a check and handed me a bill off £100+, so I went elsewhere to get the alignment for £30. Shortly after getting my tyres changed, my warning light came on and I went to get it checked and all 4 tyres had different pressures. Kwik fit guys didn’t bother to check if all the tyres have same pressure and gave me the keys. Very disappointing customer service.
Anniesland Kwik Fit is always our favourite garage they have made my wife and I more comfortable handing our car needs to this branch, friendly staff they go all out to make sure customers are happy with the service, I’m very pleased to be bringing our car over there all the time
